Everything about Hemp Skincare | Hemp Seed Oil Benefits

What is hemp seed oil?

Hemp seed oil is produced by cold-pressing the matured seeds of the cannabis Sativa plant, as opposed to CBD, which is derived from the plant's leaves and flowers. The psychoactive ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which causes the high associated with marijuana, is extremely low in these seeds. Hemp seed oil is a dark greenish colour with a nutty scent when unrefined. Although refined hemp seed oil is transparent and has little to no odour, it lacks many of the skin-health advantages. Hemp oil includes vitamins, minerals, and amino acids in addition to important fatty acids. It can be taken orally or used topically. The hemp seed oil has grown in popularity as a skincare product.

What is hemp oil good for?

The hemp seed oil has several advantages due to its high level of three polyunsaturated fatty acids: linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid, and gamma-linolenic acid. Furthermore, its omega-6 (linoleic acid) to omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) fatty acid ratio is 3:1. Experts believe that a 3:1 fatty acid ratio is excellent for human advantages.

Hemp seed oil is high in omega fatty acids, nutrients, and minerals, making it an ideal nourishing oil for cosmetic use. Because of the chlorophyll concentration, Virgin grade oil can be fairly coloured and semi-viscous. This can also provide a grassy, hay-like odour to the oil. This oil is wonderful for the skin when used topically since it is anti-inflammatory, extremely emollient, rich, and reasonably quick to absorb.

Our Holistic Hemp bath salts provide quick comfort and hydration, and our at-home spa salts provide a stress-relieving evening. Hydrate your skin from head to toe!

Benefits of hemp seed oil on skin

Deeply Hydrates the skin

Hemp seed oil is a miracle worker for dry skin. It reduces dryness and discomfort by rejuvenating and nourishing tight or dry skin. It regulates oil production on the skin to hydrate without blocking pores. Hemp seed oil strengthens the skin's barrier and aids in moisture retention, resulting in skin that appears healthy, moisturised, and soft.  Hemp seed oil should be incorporated into your skincare routine as soon as possible since dry skin is a leading cause of aging skin.

Because of its humectant characteristics, this miraculous adaptogen is incredibly moisturising. This means that it absorbs moisture from the air and seals it in, keeping skin moisturised throughout the day. Hydration is important at any age, but it becomes much more important as you get older and your skin's capacity to naturally hydrate itself diminishes.

Another benefit is that Hemp seed oil is non-comedogenic, which means it will not clog pores so you can enjoy all of the advantages of its great anti-inflammatory properties without worrying about outbreaks.

Anti - Aging

We all know that the sun's strong UV rays and other environmental causes such as air pollution, may cause substantial skin damage. UV rays especially, cause collagen loss in the top layers of the skin due to the damage it causes. (collagen is what keeps your skin looking fresh and youthful). Hemp seed oil is packed full of natural antioxidants which help in reducing visible signs of aging caused by sun exposure.

Hemp seed oil is rich in antioxidants including vitamin A, C, E, and F, as well as fatty acids, which reinforce the skin's outer layer and help it retain water. This maintains skin appearing and feeling tighter while also reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Hemp Seeds are anti-aging heroes because they are high in oleic and linoleic acids. They act to decrease the appearance of existing fine lines and wrinkles while also keeping the skin smooth and moisturised to prevent the formation of new ones. The skin's moisture content, suppleness, and texture can all benefit from hemp seed oil.

    Anti-inflammatory and soothing

Hemp seed oil has the potential to soothe and repair worn, irritated skin, which is one of its key advantages. Hemp seed oil relieves the discomfort associated with some skin disorders by reducing inflammation. It encourages the formation of new healthy skin cells, making it a potentially good alternative remedy for acne, psoriasis, eczema, and atopic dermatitis.

The anti-inflammatory effects of hemp seed oil have also been demonstrated to help with acne and outbreaks. Hemp seed oil offers potent anti-inflammatory qualities, as well as the capacity to minimize the appearance of age spots, fine lines, and other aging symptoms.

This is due to the high fatty acid content of hemp seed oil. The oil's gamma-linolenic acid is a potent anti-inflammatory that also promotes skin cell turnover, which speeds up the creation of new skin cells and helps with skin renewal

      Prevents free radical damage

Hemp seed oil is high in antioxidants that combat free radicals, such as flavonoids, tocopherols, and phytosterols. Antioxidants assist to protect your body's cells against oxidants which are reactive substances present in the environment and created by your own body. Sunlight, radiation, pollution, cigarette smoke, and exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures all harm the skin and cause premature ageing. Hemp seed oil restores the skin barrier and protects against environmental aggressors that damage the skin and cause premature ageing.

Does hemp oil have CBD in it?

Hemp oil, also known as hemp seed oil, is made from the seeds of cannabis plants and contains no CBD. There are many Hemp seed oil benefits because it contains Omega-3 fatty acids that are great for skin care.

CBD oil is a chemical compound extracted from leaves, flowers, and stalks of a plant called Cannabis sativa or any other plant in its family including hops.

CBD is a prescription-only drug in Australia and needs a medical license for manufacturing and selling products with CBD in it. We use cold-pressed Hemp seed oil without CBD content in it and has an extremely low THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) content of <20 mg/kg.
